Blood Demon’s Retirement I: To See A Beautiful World - Avitue

Civil War had raged on the Al-Shan Archipelago for the past four decades, only recently coming to an end with the enthronement of the new Emperor.

This is not his story.

The Blood Demon, renowned general of said civil war, was tired of all the fighting and politicking that had described the last four decades of her existence. All she really wanted to do now is to go out into the world and see the many lands from her father's stories.

Thus she retired, and went and did exactly what she wanted.

This is the story of what happens when you toss a (retired) war machine with somewhat lacking common sense into an unsuspecting world at peace.

Blood Demon’s Retirement II: Family, Lost & Found - Avitue

Family. That was something Cal, the Blood Demon of Al-Shan, had mostly forgotten about since she was orphaned after her parents passed away. Meeting with a half-brother she had not known she had during her travels was a pleasant occasion, to be sure.

What she had not expected was to find even more family, other siblings her late father had left behind. Nieces and Nephews, even someone she could consider a stepmother. Others that she never even imagined were still around. Slowly, she started to recall the feeling of warmth and belonging that a family gave out. A feeling she had thought was lost with her parents.

A feeling that had been rekindled by her newly found family.

Blood Demon’s Retirement III: A Peace Found Within - Avitue

A Family to call her own. A Path to follow for the future. An Opportunity most would have never dreamed of.

Cal found herself on the receiving end of many things she never once thought she would be gifted with back when her journey began.

Some part of her still felt that one with a bloodied past like hers did not deserve such things, yet that part was slowly, surely, receding to an abandoned corner of her psyche. In its stead, she found a peace she had not felt for a long time growing inside her heart.

Blood Demon’s Retirement IV: Ascension Unto Eternity - Avitue

As the end of her journey loomed and a pleasant future was laid out before her, Cal was left with but one question to grapple with: Should she should accept the generous offer from the Deities and become one of their Champions?

She hoped that she'd find answers that would help her make that decision on the final leg of her journey around the world, where she'd fulfill one of her long-time dreams to see the world beyond the isles where she was born.

Whatever the result, she knew that the choice she made would be her own, made without regrets. For all she knew, an ending to one story might well just be the prelude to another...

Unliving: Obligations of the Living - Avitue

For the longest time, Aideen Fiachna had only one prescient wish; to be the daughter her parents could take pride in.

The idea was a tall order, especially as her father stood at the head of the Templar order, and her grandfather as the Pope. However, she endeavored to try nonetheless. Yet fate had a different path in store for her. For all her efforts, all her best laid plans, were but the broken off crumbs of 'one day'. That day, she was brutally slain by a vile, accursed undead being.

Though, not even restful eternity awaited her in death.

She awakened inside a coffin. Her coffin. During her own funeral wake. Discovering, to her horror, that she had risen. Not somehow resurrected, no, but back in the form of that most hated of beings--the curse of undeath.

What will fate deal her next?

Tales of the Riverfolk I: Fish on a Stick - JP Weaver

“You get to pick one, nephew… great location, the ideal time of day, or a crowd of hungry foxes, birds, and otters. Which do you pick?”

“The third one every time, Uncle,” said the young otter. “If the foxes from the ministry had lunch at midnight, I would be there to sell.”

Chip finally has come of age and as usual for an otter of his age, he wants to work for the Riverfolk Community Trust and Mercenary Company. He has been trying to pick up the trade from his uncle, selling fish to fox and bird nobles at the Yellowrock Bazaar, but when a few new competitors enter the scene during the festival competition, can this otter pull out all the stops and make a killing selling fast food?

Boy Bands and Dragons I: Our Comeback Tour is Slaying Monsters - Kim Smuga-Otto

"We're getting the band back together, you want in?"

Against his better judgment, Kyle Moretti — the least notable member of the once-world famous boy band, Never Boy Land — says yes.

He’s prepared for the drama and clashing egos that drove the band apart four years ago. What he isn’t expecting is for a VR publicity stunt to teleport the band to the magical land of Mythreal.

The good news? They're greeted by Souffy, an attractive young mage, a true fangirl in the making. The bad? She's in trouble with the law, and Kyle's bandmates have no clue how to cope with a real magical world — they don't play "nerd games"…

Chronicles of The Badger Company: The Badger Company - JP Weaver

"If I die, you’d better come back and avenge me, you goddamn ghost in the machine."

Malcolm Parker was poised to make history as the habitation engineer who made his country's colonization initiatives possible—until a stealth missile strike destroyed the U.S. moon base. All that’s left of him is his A.I. clone, who must carry on both his fantasy tabletop campaign and the original mission: find and secure the closest habitable system.

Trapped inside a space probe with a computer for a brain and other AIs for company, Malcolm and his crew face hostile spacecraft alone. The same assailants in pursuit or an opportunistic third party—either way they seem intent on wiping out the last remnants of America’s space program. Artificial intelligence isn't recognized as people under U.S. law, so as far as the top brass in the U.S. military is concerned, the crew is on their own.

Or are they?
